Programs and Services is an area of ASUA that encompasses the desire
of students to provide other students with education, service, and
advocacy. We fulfill that desire by organizing 15 different programs
and services that range from education on campus acquaintance rape
and issues surrounding the bisexual, gay and lesbian community,
to giving legal assistance, to driving disabled students to class,
and even bringing the largest student-run carnival to campus. We
pride ourselves on being readily available to meet the needs of
wide-range of students who attend the University of Arizona.
The Administative Vice-President is responsible for assisting the
directors in establishing a working budget, planning events, and
being available in case of emergencies. The position basically entails
overseeing all 15 programs and services and ensuring that all is
functioning as planned, as well as being knowledgeable about other
events in ASUA. The Administative Vice-President also sits on various
committees throughout ASUA and the University.
